Broke, Bored, Still Showing Up
Life without a job: Wandering, waiting, and shaping my own days
Now that I have full control over my time, I also carry the full responsibility for how I spend it. No more external schedules, no deadlines from school or work—just me and my choices.
It’s not hard. But it’s not always exciting either. Planning your day when no one tells you what to do can feel boring—but I know it’s necessary.
So, I started a seven-day challenge to give structure to my life. I assign specific tasks at specific times—so even when laziness creeps in, I have something to be accountable for.
Of course, things don’t always go as planned. Like today: I had to accompany my mom for some errands, which threw off my schedule. But instead of giving up, I found time to at least complete my most important task.
This helps me stay grounded. Even when the day doesn’t go my way, I can still feel like I moved forward.
My goal is simple:
➡️ Have a base schedule to follow.
➡️ Add meaningful tasks on top of it.
➡️ Avoid wasting time on things that don’t help me grow.
I may be broke. I may feel bored sometimes. But I’m still showing up—trying, learning, and building the foundation for the person I want to become.
